Who We Are

Blaze Commerce has been helping ecommerce businesses succeed since 2009. We started out building online stores on Drupal with Ubercart, but quickly realized that Drupal’s complexity made store management unnecessarily difficult for non-technical users.

In 2014, we pivoted to WordPress and WooCommerce—a platform that offered the ease of use store owners craved and a rapidly growing ecosystem that made development a joy rather than a struggle.

Over the next few years, we cut our teeth building new WooCommerce stores and migrating existing ones to this more accessible platform, giving us a deep understanding of what it takes to make WooCommerce work at scale. As our reputation grew, we began working with larger businesses that had outgrown their initial developers and needed a team that could handle more complex requirements.

In 2019, we narrowed our focus even further. Instead of building brand-new stores, we zeroed in on existing WooCommerce stores that were hitting roadblocks with performance, scalability, and reliability. Our mission was to help these ambitious stores achieve the next level of growth by delivering the expertise and technical solutions needed to operate at scale.

By 2022, we noticed a trend: WooCommerce stores that had become successful were pushing the limits of what the standard platform could do. We tackled our first headless project, only to realize that we were breaking new ground. Much of the support for WooCommerce in a headless commerce context simply didn’t exist, so we set out to build it from scratch.

As we refined our solutions, it became clear that we weren’t just solving problems for a few clients—we were creating a platform that could empower an entire category of WooCommerce users to scale without compromise.

Today, with team members in Australia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Canada, Blaze Commerce is leading the charge in performance-first, headless WooCommerce solutions.
