Check whether AI assistants can reach and read your WooCommerce store
Free plugin from Blaze Commerce. AI crawler access checks, AI readiness scores, the ChatGPT Shopping feed, an AI visibility report, and revenue attribution for the AI traffic you already get – the measurable parts of answer-engine optimization (AEO/GEO) for a WooCommerce store.
ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Copilot now answer shopping questions with product recommendations. Whether your store appears in those answers depends on two things you control: whether AI crawlers can reach your pages, and whether the pages carry facts a model can extract.
Both fail quietly. Cloudflare has blocked AI crawlers by default on new domains since July 2025, and popular firewall plugins ship with them blocked. Adobe’s July 2026 AI Content Visibility benchmark found about a third of retail product-page content is not machine-readable.
A blocked store looks fine to you and to Google. Nothing in your analytics says it happened. This plugin says it.
Crawler access, checked at every layer
The plugin fetches your homepage and a product page as each AI crawler – GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Bingbot – reads your robots.txt rules for every crawler token including Google-Extended, and reports a per-crawler verdict: allowed, blocked at the edge, blocked by robots.txt, or challenged. It detects Cloudflare, Wordfence, Sucuri, and host-level blocks that a robots.txt check cannot see, with instructions for the layer doing the blocking.
An optional outside-in check runs the same fetches from our servers, so the verdict is what an AI crawler experiences from the open internet rather than what your own hosting reports.
Attribution for the AI traffic you already get
Referral and landing-signal detection for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, Gemini, Claude, and Grok, tied to WooCommerce orders – revenue, not sessions.
One caveat most tools skip: a large share of AI referrals arrive with no referrer at all. Attrifast measured 71% of ChatGPT visits landing in GA4 as Direct across 41 million sessions. The dashboard attributes what is detectable and labels what is not.
An AI readiness score for every product
Each product gets a 0-100 score across 10 criteria – the attributes, dimensions, availability, and policy facts a model needs before it can recommend anything. Low scores come with the reason attached, so the work is a list, not a mystery.
Schema that builds on Yoast and Rank Math
Adds the Product, Offer, and Review markup the SEO plugins leave out, without duplicating what they already output. Markup is the only change visitors’ browsers receive.
Feeds for AI shopping surfaces
Generates a ChatGPT product feed with every required field validated against the current OpenAI spec – including the eligibility flags that decide whether a feed is visible at all – plus a Google Merchant Center data-quality audit. File generation is built in. If you want push delivery or merchant-program onboarding handled for you, contact us.
One audit screen, one bot log
Eleven checks on one screen: AI crawler access, robots.txt rules, mobile Core Web Vitals from real Chrome users, schema coverage, feed status, llms.txt, and the rest. The bot log records which AI crawlers visited and when, alongside each crawler’s current access verdict.
Every feature is free
No pro tier, no trial clock. We run a WooCommerce agency – 10 years, WooCommerce only – and the plugin runs the same checks we run for clients. Stores that want the findings fixed for them hire us. Stores that don’t get the tool anyway.
What leaves your site
Nothing, until you opt in. After consent: your store URL and plugin version numbers; for the crawler test, one public product URL; for the AI visibility report, your domain, store country, site locale and up to five product category names – all of it publicly available information. Every request goes to api.blazecommerce.io. Third-party services behind specific checks are named in the plugin readme and our privacy policy, with what each receives. Consent is one toggle, and revoking it is the same toggle.
Who ChatGPT and Google AI actually mention
With cloud checks on, the AI Visibility page shows how often ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews mentioned your store over the trailing 30 days, which pages they cited, and which sites get named alongside you – from DataForSEO’s LLM-mentions data, refreshed monthly. It is the report the “AI visibility” tools sell as a subscription, scoped to your own domain, free.
If you’d rather we fix it
The plugin finds the problems. The $995 WooCommerce Revenue Audit prices what they cost you and what fixing them returns, on your store’s numbers.
FAQ
Will this get my products recommended by ChatGPT?
No plugin can promise that, and you should distrust any that does. Recommendations depend heavily on off-site signals – independent reviews and citations – plus whether your pages can be reached and read. The plugin handles reachable and readable, and measures the rest.
Does it change my storefront?
It adds schema markup to product pages. No visitor-facing UI, no badges, no scripts added to your theme.
Does it replace Yoast or Rank Math?
No. It detects them and adds the commerce markup they don’t output.
What does it cost to run?
Nothing. Cloud checks run on our infrastructure at our cost, rate-limited per domain. There is no API key to buy.
How is this different from AI visibility tools like Profound or Otterly?
Those are monitoring dashboards, priced from $29 to $499 a month, and they stop at reporting. This runs inside your store and repairs the on-page problems it finds. It won’t match their prompt-level tracking depth, and it isn’t trying to.
Can ChatGPT see my WooCommerce store?
Only if its crawlers can fetch your pages. ChatGPT uses OAI-SearchBot to index sites for search answers, ChatGPT-User to fetch a page on demand, and GPTBot for training – and any of them can be turned away by robots.txt, a firewall or a CDN without you noticing. The plugin tests each crawler from your server and, with cloud checks on, from outside your network, and links to the fix for the layer doing the blocking.
Why isn’t my store showing up in ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews?
Usually because AI crawlers cannot reach the store, or the product pages do not give the assistant enough facts – brand, identifiers, price, availability, shipping and returns – to recommend with confidence. The plugin addresses both, and the AI Visibility page shows how often ChatGPT and Google AI mention you and which pages they cite.
Does Cloudflare block AI crawlers?
Often, yes. Cloudflare has blocked known AI training crawlers by default on new zones since 2025, and bot-protection settings can stop the retrieval crawlers too. Because the block happens at the edge, a check from your own server passes while the crawler is turned away – which is why the plugin also tests from outside your network.
Do I need an llms.txt file?
Probably not, and it is not where the gains are: the major assistants have not committed to reading it, and ChatGPT itself calls it low priority for ecommerce. The plugin serves one anyway because it costs nothing; crawler access and complete product data matter far more.
Is this AEO / GEO / “ChatGPT SEO”?
Yes, in the sense that it does the practical, measurable parts of answer-engine or generative-engine optimization for a WooCommerce store: making sure AI crawlers can reach you, making product data complete and machine-readable, and measuring whether ChatGPT and Google AI mention you. It does not write content, build links or promise placement.
Where does my data go?
See “What leaves your site” above. Full detail is in the privacy policy and the plugin readme’s External Services section.
Install it, run the audit, and read your first crawler report about two minutes later.
