You pay Stripe’s standard processing fee per sale – and nothing extra to WooCommerce.

In the United States, Stripe’s typical rate is 2.9% + 30 cents per successful card charge. Rates vary by country, card type and payment method (international cards, currency conversion, and some wallets or BNPL options can differ), so check Stripe’s current pricing for your region for exact numbers.

The important part for WooCommerce merchants: the official WooCommerce Stripe plugin is free and adds no markup on top of Stripe’s fee. Some hosted platforms and some third-party gateways add their own surcharge – WooCommerce with the official Stripe plugin does not. You pay Stripe, and only Stripe.

That “no platform fee” difference is one of the quiet reasons WooCommerce is cheaper at volume than hosted alternatives. More: is the gateway free? · what WooCommerce really costs
