Steer clear of older PayPal plugins (like the long-deprecated “PayPal Standard”) and unofficial third-party alternatives. Payment is the one area of your store where “official and actively maintained” beats “feature-rich but unofficial” every time – a gateway that falls out of compliance or breaks silently costs you real sales.
